Buona Vista Thoroughfare
The thoroughfare at Buona Vista is envisioned to serve as the main transit hub between Buona Vista MRT station, Star Vista, Rochester Park and One North Park. It will provide pedestrians and cyclists a seamless connection from the MRT Station to the park.
The main connection points on the ground level aims to connect pedestrians from the train station, bus stop and drop off point to the intersection towards Rochester Park and the E-Deck. The deck intends to connect both pedestrians and cyclists to the places of interest by a bridge. The bridge is introduced to resolve issues on changes of level and reduce road junction crossing. It will have the bike parking and a dedicated cycling path which guide cyclists to One North Park, Biopolis and the Railway Corridor.
The landscape is designed to have the pedestrian movement at the core and site sensitivity as a guide to create the different spaces and seamless connectivity.
